La’Tonia Mertica, our founder, has served individuals, families, and workers in vulnerable, mis/underrepresented populations by empowering them – through her writing, advocacy, photography, videography, and graphic design – to be seen, heard, considered in ways they deem true reflections of themselves.
Her strongest quality is she values capturing the humanity of others. This is especially true regarding those who work crafting and maintaining our communities yet receive little to no recognition. Our buildings, homes, parks, sidewalks, streets, … are crafted, are maintained through the sweat of individuals, and she believes they deserve voice in how they are viewed, treated, and memorialized.
Value for the humanity of others informs the vision behind positioning ourselves as the Construction Project Storyteller. We support construction and construction-adjacent (real estate, architecture, carpentry …)
– small businesses
– not-for-profits
– social justice entities
present the best of themselves online and off. We’re passionate about putting faces, voices, gestures, habits, and routines to the work they do. Spotlighting those crafting our experiences in this brand of civilization. And, equipping them to go forward with more competence, confidence, and comfort in managing their own multimedia needs.
WHAT TO EXPECT WORKING WITH US
We dig in tirelessly at every project. Arrive early. Arrive equipped with personal safety gear. Commit to presence of mind to follow safety training. And arrive willing and able to support the project in part by not getting in the way, not causing delays, and not expecting to leave the project without getting dirty. Capturing elements of the story from set up to clean up.
We appreciate and value grit, stamina, and safety.
